Meet the Liveries
Introducing our liveries, an extended part of the Larkrigg family that come in all shapes and sizes. The one thing they all have in common is a passion for their horses and ponies.
Abbie
Abbie is one of our older residents here, she likes a hack out with Vicki every now and then she is the sweetest mare and loves letting herself out when no-ones looking!!
Boris
Yes, we agree, the name is unfortunate. But Boris more than makes up for it with personality and willingness to take on a new career in showjumping. This lovely 17.2 thoroughbred has traded in his racing shoes and is now braving the stripy pole jumps with Rosie.
Chanel
New addition to the Livery Family and Sadie’s first pony, Chanel is a little ‘Pocket Rocket’ gearing up for Pony Club fun and games.
Elvis
Elvis is a real gent, obviously living up to his name……we do comment when someone mentions it…….He belongs to Claire and we use him a bit in the riding school as he is so quiet
Norman
Norman is a a lovely little piebald cob that is adored by his family (and everyone else on the yard). Alice exercises him daily and keeps his beautiful feathers immaculately groomed - even mum can’t resist a ride now and then.
Dibbles
Dibbles has been with us for a long time now and is getting into his late teens. He has helped a good few riders in his day and he is now on loan to Anya by a lovely lady called Moya who likes him to keep in shape. Anya does a bit of everything on Dibbles and is one of our pony club centre members.
Sebastian
Sebastian belongs to Emily and together as you can see from the picture they do Archery. They are so good that they represent Great Britain! so we might forgive him for all the door banging!!!!
Meg
Meg is a 15.3hh cob cross who belongs to Katherine. They like to do some jumping and horseback archery. They also do some hacking with other horses on the yard
Samson
The lovely Samson 16HH Irish draught. He likes hacking out with the others and working in the school. Bogdan likes a little bit of schooling for him and the horse!!
Annie
Annie belongs to Carol and loves hacking out with her, Amy shares her to and does a bit of everything with her.
Max
Max came to us in August 2020 on Livery for Sue, he was living in Spain prior to coming here. In the first few days of living here at Larkrigg, Max decided that he didn’t want to live with the boys and wanted to live with the girls instead (lets just say we have had to build our wall back up!!! we’ve renamed him Maxine!!!) I hope Sue has got some cosy rugs for him for winter over here!!
